If you’re wondering what’s going on here, this month I’m writing short poems combining NaPoWriMo and CampNaNo while I’m trying to finish a novel. The last few days, the poems were closely related to my story – I shall try to make them a bit less dependant on knowing all of the plot. How did I do?

  1. Makes them very enigmatic, though Sonya 🙂 Are all the ‘she’s the same person? Kind of makes more sense if it’s two. Any how, I like the sound of archiving memories – intriguing.

    1. Are all the same she, but today’s she is in the present, all the others are from a year earlier. It’s funny how it gets confusing when you condense 750+ words of prose into a few lines 😀

  5. Yes she would, because over time she would be over the pain and be glad she kept all the archives.
    So short, yet so packed with stories and history. Great one, Sonya.

  7. I don’t know how closely it follows your plot, but I love the succinctness of your words. The imagery is powerful. I’ve been that gurl before: wanting to “archive the memories” I’m desperately holding onto but will ultimately want to delete. Brilliant lines!

    1. It follows the story really closely, so if anyone reads them side by side in the future, it’ll make sense. But I tried to chose a part that would work on its own, so I’m glad you liked it 🙂
