    1. Agreed! I could feel a whole story developing in my mind, but I really wanted to keep it short to practice my restraint in verbosity 😉 Can’t wait to read all the submissions!

    2. You know, I could point you to quite a few pieces I wrote based on a writing prompt I thought wouldn’t work for me. Looking forward to see what you come up with 🙂

      1. I’m looking forward to your reaction to it 🙂 Particularly, as I really respect your writing skill tremendously!

It’s great to be challenged by a prompt, such as this one, as it causes me to think a little more than normal, which is always a good thing.

    1. Thanks, Grace! TLT got me into poetry and I wanted to spread the love.

And it’s great to see some of the old TLT regulars on Ink In Thirds – very exciting!

  1. Etude in Anxious Ivory

The piano looks so big, and my pen appears so small
Wood parts are old and unattractive, which is how I feel about myself
Book’s blotches more than my blank note: but my job, my need—trying to compose
