Visual Verse: Lost Causes

I wrote something the other day that starts with this line: ‘Love, it’s a bit too early to crack open the red, don’t you think?’

You’ll find the rest of the story on Visual Verse.

  1. Great story- so much human drama condensed int so few words! I looked at that pic and drew a blank- a particularly challenging painting. I can see how perhaps the red nose led you down the track you went on (maybe I am wrong?). Good to know about that site too- I might try something out there one of these days. How does the 1 hour limit work? or is that just a guide and honesty based system?

    1. Yes, you’re right, it was the nose that inspired the story. The Visual Verse prompts can be quite challenging, but it’s good practice. And the one hour limit is all about honesty – I write my stories in Scrivener and copy and paste them, so they wouldn’t know how long it takes me. I try to write them within the limit, though.

      Thank you 🙂

      1. You’re welcome 🙂 It is a really interesting painting and quite a challenge- funny how some paintings/photos lend themselves more readily to a story. Like your cupcake photo vs. the nebula. I found the cupcake one quite a challenge.
