Welcome to Week Twenty-Two of Three Line Tales.

You’ll find full guidelines on the TLT page – here’s the tl;dr:
- Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
- Link back to this post.
- Tag your post with 3LineTales (so everyone can find you in the Reader).
- Read and comment on other TLT participants’ lines.
- If you want your post to be included in the round-up, you have until Sunday evening to publish it.
- Have fun.
Happy three-lining!
Interesting one with unusual possibilities! I like it! thank you!!

The next-door girl
She was that way from the get-go, you know; surly, self-assured, sloppy with a way of making you not care about all that.
Sometimes she’d plunk her butt down on a bench or a storage chest in the shop, dangle her feet, dare me to put aside whatever project I was working on and pay her some attention.
She was an anything but lace and flowers girl and I loved her for it.

My shoes are old,
but my muscles feel shiny and new.
Oh, blessed and aching labors!

Lovely! Made me think of Dr. Seuss:
‘My shoe is off, my foot is cold.
I have a bird I like to hold.
My hat is old, my teeth are gold.
And now my story is all told.’
