You’ll find full guidelines on the TLT page – here’s the tl;dr:

  • Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
  • Link back to this post (& check the link shows up under the weekly post).
  • Tag your post with 3LineTales (so everyone can find you in the Reader).
  • Read and comment on other TLT participants’ lines.
  • If you want your post to be included in the round-up, you have until Sunday evening to publish it.
  • Have fun.

Happy three-lining!

  1. The Ambiguous Amphibian

It stretches out into the frigid water, narrowing as docks do, as dreams do, funneling in to the most inaccessible of spaces.

I hesitate, aware of the danger, reading signs of the danger, alternately careful, careless, confused caught in the constriction of choices life on land leaves me.

I feel the tightening of my shoulder blades, the emergence of gills, the scaling of skin, the slippery pull of the watery world I know is my destiny.
