Welcome to Week 70 of Three Line Tales.

You’ll find full guidelines on the TLT page – here’s the tl;dr:
- Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
- Link back to this post (& check the link shows up under the weekly post).
- Tag your post with 3LineTales (so everyone can find you in the Reader).
- Read and comment on other TLT participants’ lines.
- Have fun.
Happy three-lining!

I’m good on ships, you know—good luck against
The rats and plagues; I’m not a familiar, though I
Will be your indifferent (still a cat) and true friend

The Cat Didn’t Come Back the Very Next Day but That’s Okay
Jeannie noticed that Katastrophy wasn’t around the next morning when she didn’t show up to slurp up Jeannie’s milk-laced porridge bowl.
“She’s such an adventurous cat,” Jeannie mused, recalling the previous evening when we’d watched Mutiny on the Bounty, the colourful one with Brando, and Katastrophy sat on the couch, mesmerized the same way she once had been that time we watched South Pacific, the original, not the Glenn Close version.
That single-minded cats got more gumption than me, I thought, as I imagined her doing what I probably won’t ever do, setting sail to some south seas tropical isle.
