You’ll find full guidelines on the TLT page – here’s the tl;dr:

  • Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
  • Link back to this post (& check the link shows up under the weekly post).
  • Tag your post with 3LineTales (so everyone can find you in the Reader).
  • Read and comment on other TLT participants’ lines.
  • Have fun.

Happy three-lining!

I’m suddenly having a blow-up moment, the long span of green, the far shrubbery, the glint of sun slinking down, or up, or sideways, the anomic aloneness.

At those times, you might see movement, some whisper off in the forested distance, a hand, a head, an appendage, maybe a pistol, some dribble of human dimension camouflaged, teased by the minds eye and a longing for a tad more mystery in your humdrum world.

“I’m bored. I wanna go,” the weasly little curmudgeon expels, stomping away, drawing me back to the impromptu childminding that so shatters the imaginative spirit.
